The patient came to the Clinic because of tooth discoloration caused by an excess of fluoride in drinking water in the place of residence. The patient also did not accept the abrasion of the teeth – the incisal edges of the upper incisors and the position of the upper lateral incisor on the right side, which was retracted in stripes to the remaining teeth.

The goal that the patient wanted to achieve

The most important thing for the patient was that she could start smiling normally and not worry that her teeth were discolored and had unsightly brown spots. In addition, she expected a change in the shape of the teeth – their slight convexity and their proper positioning so that ones were equal to ones, two, two, etc. During the further consultation, the lady also pointed out that it is important for her to be minimally invasive and save as much tooth tissue as possible.

Applied treatment

After the prosthetic consultation, it was decided to perform the Digital Smile Design. Dr. Artur Kaleniecki took the necessary photos of the patient’s face, and then, after consulting Dr. Marek Markiewicz, designed a new shape and position of the teeth. After preparation, the design was non-invasively applied to the patient’s current teeth using a special material so that it was possible to assess how you will look with new teeth. Thanks to this procedure, the Patient and the Doctor already know at this stage what the effect will be after the treatment and can make any corrections so that the final work meets their expectations in 100%. In this case, the Patient accepted the project without any comments. Three weeks after the teeth whitening, Dr. Bartosz Wanda made the necessary scans using the Primescan Cerec intraoral scanner. In the digital laboratory of Markiewicz Clinic, a dental technician Daria Gollus made porcelain veneers based on the smile design. One week after the scans were taken, Dr. Bartosz Wanda cemented the veneers and the patient was able to enjoy her new beautiful smile.
